Shrewsbury Market tower

Ended up in Shrewsbury by accident today, seemed like the river was going down nicely but just for a change in these conditions the pump was on at the Sloppy (Proud Salopian Pub).

Not much time for pics but took one of the rather hideous market tower. When it was built in the mid 60's I am sure it was seen as a revolutionary piece of architecture but old photos of the previous Victorian market hall show a beautiful old building, which unfortunately this monstrosity replaced.
