Oor Tiger

For  the uninitiated, Oor Wullie is a Scottsh comic strip character dating back to the 1930s. Statues of Wullie are all over Scotland ths year to raise money for the Childrens Hospitals in Glasgow and Edinburgh. All the statues have different names.  Tiger here is in front of Usher Hall;  I pass him ever day as I walk up and down the Lothian Road to the Book Festival.
Todays events were the collage exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art, Cirque Beserk,  Mary Portas - Queen of Shops and catching up with friends in a splendid tea shop. Modern circus acts are very much more talented than the circuses I remember from childhood . This lot had us on the edge of our seats with their daring acts. I also have a video of 5 motorbikes going round and round in a sphere, very clever. In extras is a photo of one of the gymnasts and behind  her is the sphere the 5 motor bikes rode  in.
