Several of us went to Harlow Carr Gardens at Harrogate and managed to dodge most of the rain .  I liked the curved benches here beside the long herbaceous border but unfortunately there were very few insects or butterflies on the flowers nor were there damselflies on the lilies as we had seen on our previous visit. A couple of us went to hear a very interesting talk on pitcher plants then later watched an assortment of birds on feeders and see the trials in the vegetable plots.  All too soon it was time to meet up with the others.
