the mighty Zambezi
The long journey was soon forgotten as we sat on the veranda of our lodge overlooking the Zambezi from the Zambian side. We enjoyed a boat ride on the river spotting the wildlife as the sun set slowly. Wild life photographed today included crocs, hippos, buffalo, kudu, fish eagle, goliath heron (in extra )brown hooded kingfisher, black head oriole, open bill stormwater thick-knee, african pied wagtail, white crowned lapwing, pied kingfisher (extras), grey heron (in extra keeping his distance from croc) and white breasted gannets (seen flying in the sunset)
Tomorrow we go to the Victoria Falls and on Friday we move on to Botswana where we will be staying in 2 camps both deep in the wilderness without phone or wifi.
