All the world.....
Today, I give you the sky and the sea.
I did have another photo, but I would not have subjected you to it
Truth be told, am suffering Post Traumatic Stress after the events of today
As you are aware from some of my photos, our office sits in nicely landscaped gardens and we are prone to some very lovely sights of nature. But today I witnessed the most awful sights of nature.
A movement caught my eye outside, beside my car, and found I was seeing a stoat - two stoats? I grabbed my camera and ran out, and it was only as I approached, I found it was one stoat and one rabbit.
As I ran at them, the stoat ran off, and the rabbit lay still by my car.
I moved over to the rabbit and was pleased to see he was breathing. Stunned, but breathing. I reached down, and the poor wee thing struggled to move away from me - one of his back legs appeared to be paralised. He crawled in a roundabout way under my car.
I ran into the office, googled "saving rabbits". I took a bowl of water out to him (finding the milk and peanuts were poisonous - which were all I had) . he rolled further under the car and so I retreated.
When I looked out again, he was crawling, badly into the middle of the car park. Anyone could run him over at any second.
I ran out, with a towel, threw it over him and cradled him to me. And walked with him to the farthest corner of our estate, I scrambled over a fence, and placed him under a tree, he did his funny wee roll round in a circle to hide himself away from me.
I came back to my desk and sat down, and as I gazed out the window - the bloody wee stoat came back - sniffing round my car and the water bowl, obviously hoping to finish what he started.
I ran out and chased him, and wandered back up the end of the estate and looked around where I left bunny. He was no where to be seen.
I choose to believe that he found a little hole, and is laying there sleeping off the trauma, and tomorrow he will wake, and be hopping all over the place.
that's what I choose.
