Giving and Taking

My iron levels are back up again, thank goodness. I’ve made a big effort with my diet and it has worked. It was 142....hurrah. As soon as the evening session started I donated. Poor Elliot was mortified when he put the needle in and missed my vein. I think he just tried too hard and went under the vein. Aram adjusted it and all was fine, but Elliot got a lot of stick as I’ve got veins like the Mersey Tunnel.

I gave a platelet sample too so we shall see if my count is high enough to do that. I would like to try it at least once so that I can talk about it with donors from experience. Fingers crossed.
