From the grand stand

The women’s tour of Scotland cycling event passed by our village today. Sadly the weather was miserable.
But a small crowd stood and waited to cheer them on. The wait was far longer than the main event,but we were kept entertained by the motorbike relay team who kept the route clear ahead of the cyclists. Who knew that so many people were involved.
The cyclist wizzed past us in just a few minutes, with the leader about 30 seconds ahead of the pelaton. All credit to them, not a great day for cycling.
