Atlantic sun

Great breakfast, sunny day. We walk the coast, down into coves and then back up out if them. It’s gorgeous. The going is relatively easy, with occasional cooling gusts of Atlantic wind.

Around lunchtime we stop on a popular beach for a swim. We climb steep, carven steps up the cliff in bare feet, until they’re dry enough to scrape the sand off. It’s busy here at Minack Theatre, contrasting with the solitude of the morning.

There’s no shortage of walkers from here to Land’s End. The coast is beautiful, but the paths get more manicured and less beautiful. Finally, we get to Land’s End, which turns out to be a low-tent, high priced fun fair. Claire drinks a glass of juice on the terrace and we head inland.

The B&B is lovely. There’s food enough in the “breakfast box” for tea. We’re not going anywhere.
