Train down to London. Didn’t start well as my usual car park is no more, and I couldn’t get the RingGo app to work , but all sorted. Met A at the V andA( she has never been before!). Went to some of the permanent galleries, had lunch and then the Dior exhibition. Loved it!. Very well curated - particularly liked the room with the tuilles in. Photos were disappointing but there lots of people milling around, even with timed tickets, so I suppose it’s not surprising. Walked up to Sloane Street to meet CR for early dinner at Adam Harding’s restaurant in the Cadogan Hotel. It was amazing value- we got a deal. 3 courses, wine and tea or coffee for £35! Excellent modern European food. Didn’t expect any frills for the price we paid, but we got a pre starter and predessert as usual and also chicken butter and sourdough bread. Apparently this is what he’s known for(amongst other things) They weren’t very busy as we ate early so when we said how fantastic it all was the waiter fetched Adam Harding to talk to us and he gave us some chicken butter to take home - CR took it as her husband loves it. We finished with exquisite chocolates but we were both too full to eat more than one so they gave both of us a beautiful box with six chocolates in it to bring home. Tube back to Euston and back home for 10.30 and 12000 steps done. Ate too much though - or maybe it was the wine!
