Fireworks!

After a lovely evening and meal with Lord and Lady F, we got back to the luxury apartment where we were staying and were able to watch the hogmanay fireworks from our bedroom balcony! How wonderful was that?! Terrific to be able to see, and hear, them lighting up the night sky!

The flat belongs to the partner of one of the sopranos in the Edinburgh Royal Choral Union, with whom we are singing the Messiah tomorrow. Had a three hour rehearsal this afternoon and then met up with relations up from Newcastle for the festivities and went for a meal with them.
