A familiar sight...

...to those of us who use Loughborough Station regularly. The best view is from Platform 3, which is where I took this today on my way up to Nottingham from Sileby.

I know it takes longer but I do prefer the stopping train for a number of reasons; primarily because Sileby Station is closest to me, you can always get a bike on easier and, finally, the old trains have bigger windows so you can see more. The ride up from Loughborough past Big Meadow and over the Trent Valley is lovely and worth trundling through on the stopper.
