NothingGetsLost

More than meets the eye

Work for me often looks like simply going on adventures with people. And at its heart it is.
But behind those adventures is so much more.
Most qualifications test the technical and tactical side of things. The APIOL process
aims to recognise and credit all the 'other' parts of being an outdoor proffesional.
I'm not an academic in any way so I was nervous getting into this.
But it's led me to reflect on 13 years or so of working outside and many more of playing and to think about the what, why and how of the things I do. And to think about what nexts and how I want to develop, and contribute to the wider outdoor industry/community.

A really useful, rigorous, challenging, positive process that's reminded me I hate writing but I love working in the outdoors.
