Afternoon Stroll

Quiet morning exploring the Cairncross branch of my family tree, trying to make connections between different families living in the Lothians in the 1700s. 

Weather brightened up this afternoon so I took myself off for a stroll in the Black Spout Woods where this tree caught my eye. 

Heading over to the theatre shortly for a Friends Evening: dinner, show and an oppertunity to meet the cast & crew  afterwards which is always fun. Tonight's show is Summer Holiday which we also saw when it first opened - looking forward to seeing it again. Just wish the weather was more summer holiday-like.
