A day for cats

What a fabulous day.

Our first hour on the road from Olifants to Shimuwini was fairly low key in terms of sightings but that began to change as the vegetation did the same.

This fellow sneaked up on us via a water culvert and kept us enthralled as he waited for his prey,, or so we thought. It turned out he was planning a snooze in the afternoon sun.

My extra is of three chaps of the cheetah variety that also came out of their hiding.

A grand way to celebrate 38 years as a married couple with a superb steak on the braai and a glass of Ernie Els to say cheers.
