Beady Eyed Rat
There's an urban myth that one is never more than six feet away from a rat.
Every morning Ollie dog and I catch a glimpse and hear the scurrying of a rat that lives under the ivy that covers the Nissen hut. Nice bit of sport for Ollie.
I decided to take the van for my blood test as parking at the surgery can be difficult. I cleared it of MrQ's junk before I left. As I pulled away from where it was parked three rats scampered from under it into the Nissen hut. I'm surprised that they hadn't made themselves scarce when I was clearing it. I hope that they'd not been skulking and nibbling important automotive systems.
The rat in question is making the most of spilt bird food at the Bittern Hide.
