Mabel Bids Farewell To The Ducks

Back to Boston bright (well actually not bright at all ... quite foggy) and early this morning.  I must confess to a "cheat" as I took these pictures yesterday evening, but they are so cute I had to include them here.  We heard quiet quacking under the sitting room window as we were watching the news, and when we looked, we found this little family of ducks enjoying some grassy hors d'oeuvres on the lawn.  Mabel was extremely curious, and as you can see, she monitored their activities very closely from the conveniently low window!  If you look closely, you can see her tail is slightly blurred ... that's because it was quivering with barely suppressed outrage that "her" garden was being invaded!  You can also just see some of the ducks in the top left corner of the window.
