The Heather....

looked and smelled lovely this afternoon. This view towards the Cromdales does not show what a beautiful day it was, but I like the blueness into the sun.
Although it was warm and sunny from early, there had been overnight rain and I got soaked walking through long grass and bracken. Soon dried though and washed off the blood I had collected from a climb over several barbed wire fences. Laziness, I could have walked round!
Put the Small Copper on the Scabious in as an extra as I like the colour combination and it reminds me that I had been searching for Small Scabious Mining bees.
