Mother and Child

We reluctantly left Elephant Sands and travelled to Kasane and the Chobe river, which forms part of the border between Botswana and Namibia  All of us had signed up for the 'sunset cruise' excursion, which given that we had stopped for 'refreshments en route to the hotel, and the fact that we had the boat to ourselves, meant that there was a bit of a party atmosphere on board.  Despite the relatively loud 'oohs' and 'aahs' :)  we were lucky enough to see a wide range of wild life, including lots of birdlife, hippos, more elephants on the Namibian side of the river and crocodiles. I particularly liked this pod of fairly chilled hippos who posed quietly for a bit and then moved off.
