Cleveland Panorama.
After yesterday’s wet weather today was fine, but breezy in places.
We bought pork pies from Petch the butcher in Great Ayton.
He makes the best pies in the country. Well we think so!
Drove to the top of Carlton Bank to eat them for lunch, before we tackled the Cleveland Way from Lord Stones to the top of Cringle Moor.
For my blip I chose this shot of the striking panorama of the Cleveland plain, with Middlesbrough in the distance, and Roseberry Topping slightly to the right.
Mr C liked the first extra as he wanted to show the fabulous heather, which today was at it’s best.
The second extra shows some people we met, climbing down on their way to Kildale.
The last extra is Mr C on our way back to the car park at Lord. stones. Only 3 miles today, but what stunning views.
We chatted to quite a few people both coming up and going down.
Including a family with a lovely little 4 year old who was running up in her pretty flowered dress and pink shoes. Leaving granddad behind. He kept telling her to slow down.
Wish I had such energy !
Back to the caravan to change, and then off to the village pub. Two pints of Theakstons for Mr C and G& T for me.
Great to have two pubs within walking distance.
Hope this uploads, as the internet is playing up at the moment.
