Mr Redlegs at Washington Park
Sunday
It was good to get back to our own church this morning, where we were warmly welcomed after our long absence. It was a good service, followed by our bible study class. Roger grilled us some sausages on the grill for lunch, and I made a mixed salad to go with them, then after Roger had called his Dad, we went out cycling again, today starting from Morrow. It was fairly quiet on the trail today, despite being a Sunday afternoon. I wasn’t feeling terribly energetic, so I made do with 15 miles today. After church, we had been talking with Tom, our organist, who is also an excellent cellist, playing with various ensembles and orchestras in the area. He mentioned that he was playing this evening with members of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra at Washington Park, which is downtown, opposite Music Hall. So we decided to go down and support him. It turned out it was a string quartet plus an acoustic guitar, playing Beatles tunes. It was beautiful and warm, so it made for a very pleasant evening. My blip is another of the Mr Redlegs statues around town for the summer, celebrating 150 years of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. The different statues are wearing uniforms from different years - this one in Washington Park represents the 1935 uniform
