Good for Maddy

We saw this poster attached to a tree on Mote Park. A young girl obviously so upset by the way the world is that she felt compelled to make this heartfelt plea. Good for her and good for her parents, if they helped.

It’s a timely reminder that us old ‘uns are merely stewards of the world and that soon we’ll be passing and leaving it, for better or worse, for the next generations. I can’t help feeling we haven’t done a good job and that we’re leaving the world in a worse state than when we inherited it. The youngsters have every right to feel let down by our generation, by our leaders and those in government and in commerce.
