Into the outdoors
After a cooked breakfast we headed off to White Moss car park at Rydal water. Donned with waterproofs and walking shoes we had a leisurely stroll around the lake and cave. The water level was high.
The tea room at Rydal Hall was a welcome pit stop before taking the Coffin route back to the car park.
We drove up The Struggle and over Kirkstone pass taking a quick stop at the top to take in the views. The wind was chilly considering it's August.
There was plenty of fizzy bubbly and wine flowing late afternoon and we eventually help ourselves to a Christmas style cold buffet, but without the mince pies!
All in all a good day, it's been lovely to get to know James without him feeling too bombarded with questions! (hopefully). A good lad who would be welcome here anytime.
