Bay of Skaill

A working day but I tried to add a tourist stop at Skara Brae. It seems only right and proper to show one's visitors at least ONE archaeological site for which Orkney is so famous.

We soon came to the decision that a return visit at the end of the season would be preferable. Just a coffee and scone today and then thankfully left the coaches, minibuses and queues behind us.

2 minutes away, there were 3 people on the beach at the Bay of Skaill. That's more like it!
