These boots
... are made for walking nesting!
I spent an interesting day in Hughenden Manor, the home of Victorian British Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881). Over 60 years later its part in the WWII war effort has come to light, culminating in a new exhibition recreating rooms used for drawing maps which took place in secret. They produced maps from 3D photos for many of the significant air raids which took place with desvastating effect in Europe during that time.
With more peaceful thoughts in mind, while walking round the Kitchen Garden I came across these recycled walking boots being put to some silly but innovative re-use - though I wonder if there any occupants this year, or perhaps the smell of cheese may have put them off!
