Along the bicycle path

Luca headed off on his road trip with friends and I continued down to Grosseto. 

My new passion .... cycling on the bicycle path from Grosseto to Marina di Alberese. It's wonderful! The path starts right here in the city and very soon heads out into the countryside. Right now there are fields and fields of tomatoes reddening and more fields of sunflowers ripe for harvest. I can ride along for ages just feeling the wind in my hair, watching the lizards scamper across the path and pedalling. I ride for about 1.5 hours, which is a pretty good start. For now I get to the river (the photo is taken from the bridge). Once it cools down and I can head out earlier in the day I'll be able to reach Alberese.
