LANCASHIRE LASS
Lovely night at Thyme Out last night. Food was good as usual, although I preferred the desert from last time as this one was, to me, a typical English desert and not a Greek one, however it was still lovely.
Decided I would go out after breakfast with the camera as I have several projects on the go at the moment. The EDPS on I think I've got my days muddled as I'm only submitting weekly with a theme. I get easily muddled though, so no difference there!!!
I went to Capernwray, near Borwick and not far from Carnforth for a walk along a stretch of the Lancaster Canal and then popped into the Tea Room into the New England Caravan Park for a coffee. It was a lovely little walk, loads of dog walkers about and several barges on the canal. This one caught my eye.
I think I must have to the tea room at the wrong time because I was served a "bucket" of cappuccino, but it was a packet mix one - way too sweet for me. It transpires that the lady who normally runs/owns it had decided to go off in her boat this week and it was being run by her daughter and son-in-law and they really didn't know how to use some of the machines!!?? Oh well it was only coffee so it didn't really matter.
I've never been there before, even though I've been to Borwick several times (Mum and Dad used to be Treasurer for The Friends of Borwick Hall) but never made it to the canal. Just for interest - the external of Borwick Hall was used in the superb Children's TV series in the 1970s call "Ghosts of Motley Hall".
I came home after because the roads were very busy and the weather looked threatening. It hasn't actually rained but still good to be way from that traffic.
Hope you are all well - see you all tomorrow. Thanks for dropping by once again.
