Mount Stewart
We had a wee tootle to Mount Stewart this afternoon for a short walk and then coffee. Since we’ve had a very busy summer we haven’t been using our National Trust membership, so thought we would make a quick visit today.
Most of the flowering plants are almost past their best, with only the dahlias still at their peak. The formal gardens were pleasingly wild, though!
Once home I baked a blueberry, almond and lemon cake from my Ottolenghi ‘Simple’ cookbook. I’m off to ice it now!
