The view from The Top

Staggering today with the Wellington U3A walking group. They do ambitious stuff and they went up Tinakori (Ahu Mairangi) famous because when The Boss was but a kid it had a shortwave radio station on it, Then Satellites came along and everything changed but it is still a great walk which continued over the Botanical gardens to a local coffee joint down on the flat again..
The group have a great system where we all end up catching the same bus as it crosses the city and on this occasion we were joined by a bunch of kiddies from a local kindergarten who were hugely entertaining as their keepers had them playing a game about traffic light colours as we travelled. The Boss never even went to kindy which hadn’t been invented THAT long ago...Maybe this explains.....

Anyway what with add on’s (The Bossess needed some copy paper) the day got to 16 Km so that funny noise you may hear is not the neighbours sawing wood...OK?
If you look across the water in large, their apartment would be a bit further round on the right hand side.and that is the local stadium you can see down the hill which is hosting a “Queen” concert next year which they can walk to.
I will miss these folk for a few weeks while we return south for a while next weekend to check out the sno department.
