Train Track Fail
Trip to Kent today to stay with chums. "I'll get a train" I says, "it'll be more relaxing than driving" I says.
Wrong.
The Paddington line was, well, broken and the only way into London from South Devon was the uber slow train to Waterloo. I could have joined all the miserable looking people getting on coaches and actually it might have been a lot less cramped what with there being legal limits on the number of standing on buses. As for the train - ram everyone in! And then ram in some more! Absolute nightmare.
Then of course the tubes I needed were not in action due to maintenance. I thought it'd be a nice stroll from Waterloo to Victoria. Bloody hell. Westminster+tourists+suitcase-on-wheels=much crossness.
Why do tourists walk in front of you slowly and then stop right there in the middle of the path to take a photo? No warning. Just stop. Halt. And then there's the rest of the family who think nothing of blocking the entire width of the path. I'm afraid to say I did growl at some people (but it's ok because they were too busy taking photos of EVERYTHING to notice).
