Open wide!

Well it worked as you can see on my extra shot.
These gladioli have opened out while we were away.
I love the colour combination.Just like they looked in the catalogue. Called “ Zita”.

A busy day. Always lots of washing to do when you have been away, even if only for a few days.
A fine sunny morning,and so I put it outside to dry.
1 pm and it started pouring down.
So a quick dash outside to pick it in and Mr C got soaked.
Mid afternoon and out came the sun again, and also a nice breeze. So out came the washing, and it is now dry.

Another pigeon has bitten the dust. We found the remains hidden behind the Japanese Anemones.
That makes three this summer so far.
I haven’t seen any since we came home.
May be they are now staying clear.
