Today's Painting Work
The boards that will eventually form the outside of the gable end of The Red House got a second coat today. I may give them a third coat, or use them as they now are.
It was very nice doing the painting, a sort of contemplative work. The second coat always is easier, the sun was shining and the day unexpectedly warm. I had to keep adding water to the paint because it was drying too quickly.
I also harvested black currants from our garden bushes, the first of the season, which is definitely late summer now.
In some ways it's not a very exciting photo today, but I did backblip the last day of April, with a picture of the Atlantic Rift at thingvellir, Þingvellir, in Iceland. A much more exciting picture than today's!
