Port Ellen

Just over 3 hours drive from Perth to catch the ferry to Islay. Bit of a pilgrimage for my good lady who was born there in the early 60’s leaving when she was 3 and had’t been back since.

A mixture of sunshine and showers today on this Island that definitely has a smell of malt in the air!

This shot is of Port Ellen at the south end of the Island. The extra is of the Finlaggan the ferry from Kennacraig to Port Askaig on Islay.
