THE HOME OF UNIVERSITIES...

... well our "whirl wind" UK trip took us to Oxford today the home of Universities, AND shark through the roof!! 

Of course also it is where the famous story "Alice in Wonderland" was written by Lewis Carroll - and of course with one of our grand daughters being named Alice, we had to check it all out, as in the main pic.

We were up dated by a teacher guiding a group of school children near the shark in the roof, that Lewis Carroll used to meet with C J Lewis and Tolkien and write at The Eagle and Child, so we found that in our travels as well but it was not open to check out the "facts". 

Being another superb weather day we took the open top bus to tour the sites and get the insight from a most entertaining guide.

It was then on further North toward York for tomorrows fun with a meet up with another world famous Blipper Riversider - sure to see some trains I reckon??
