It's "bee"n a strange day

Donned my walking gear this morning and then the black clouds appeared, so unlocked the back gate and headed out that way, meaning I could dash back if it rained heavily. 

Plenty of butterfly action, but all whites or browns which I wasn't interested in.  A grasshopper came out to play and then it started to look ominous overhead again.  What was really interesting was the fact that all the butterflies vanished a few minutes before the big fat raindrops started to fall.

I tried to catch a bee in flight but no matter where I focused they flew off the other way.
