Yep, it's burning Cherry Laurel prunings.  

Generally prefer not to burn stuff for the sake of the neighbours but having filled all of our three council bins, and taken three builders bag loads to the dump, there is a limit.

And yeah, the pyromaniac in me does like a bit of a fire.
