Snow in the Desert

Today we drove from Wells, NV to Pendleton, OR passing through part of Idaho on the way. We didn't make a sight seeing stop because it was so cold. Last night the temperature got as low as -5 F as we drove into Wells. This morning it was zero as we took off. Cold! Most of the drive today was quite beautiful. Except for a couple of photos I took at a rest stop, all the photos I took today were through the window of a moving car, including this one. Honestly I don't remember exactly where it was. It is all kind of a blur. We traveled over 400 miles today with several rest stops and a longer stop for lunch. Tomorrow we head out again across Snoqualmie Pass and onward toward home. We expect to make it home on Saturday.
