Sorting out the garden

Up sharp this morning to be prepared for my friends son Alan to arrive to help with the decorating. He was very helpful and the dining room is now finished and the kitchen has been started.
I spent a few hours in the garden sorting out the wildflowers - the cornflowers has grown so high they needed some structure behind them - they look so much better now.
I harvested the black currants and have turned some into Blackcurrant gin and vodka - should be ready in 2 weeks. I used the rest to make some compote - one dish in the fridge and 4 dishes frozen for later.
Managed to fit in some ironing so all in all a productive day.
