Poppy with seedheads
Delighted to see a lovely chaffinch outside the bedroom window this morning. I've not seen one for months. Needless to say once I'd found the camera it was away.
The going-to-seed wildflowers in the Cambuskenneth playpark will have to do. I was out on a fairly early dog plod and went to the abbey and back over the fields. It's a bit damp but the forecast is an improving one after today. You might say this is the inevitable consequence of schools going back today. It's so hard to do a long shift over six or seven weeks in summers as soggy as this one.
I'm off to the farm this morning (will be much quieter now the holidays are over) with the four year old, her baby sister and their mum. Then later on Cameraman should be back from his trip south.
