Wide Wednesday - an interesting tree

The little crab apple tree is already heavily laden with fruit, which is now starting to colour up nicely, even though it is still August.  As Miranda's comment of yesterday implied, the season is starting to turn.

I had originally intended to nip out in the car this evening to take a shot of a lone oak in a nearby field.  But I have to admit that having returned home from work and eaten dinner with Cathy, my get up and go has now got up and gone.  Not a very good excuse really!
