Field of Gold
I went for an early swim this morning and stopped to capture the sunflowers again now that more are in bloom and I'm surprised after all the wind and rain that we've had, that they're still there. They're intermingled with barley, poppies and other wild flowers to attract the bees which is wonderful.
The outdoor pool felt a bit fresh when I first got it, but after swimming a length or two it was lovely, and I swam my usual 50 lengths before getting in the jacuzzi. Then there was just enough time to get home and get ready before I had to leave for work. Mum went back into Brighton, while Norma stayed at home and did some ironing for me and also made a cottage pie for dinner - she loves ironing!
Tonight myself and the mums have been to the theatre to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which was brilliant! You may remember that a couple of weeks ago we met some of the cast in VIP our local Italian - the spy and the child catcher, well they were both amazing! I rarely go to the theatre and I've been twice in one week now.
Anyway, it's almost midnight so I'm off to bed, I've got to be up early tomorrow as I'm going with Alan when he goes to work as we're picking the new car up, I'm very excited!
