Spring or New Year?

This very early bud seems confused too, it is usually March/April before this Azalea comes into bud. I have some early bulbs starting to show themselves too and there is a definite feeling of new life in the garden. The weather is wonderful - glorious sunshine and very mild for early Jan, so I'm not complaining, but is does seem incredible to see all this and Christmas is not packed away yet. On that subject - I am never quite sure whether I should pack everything away on the 5th (so that it is done by the 6th) or on the 6th itself, can anyone help? :-)
