Refreshing

I scarcely look forward to a visit to hospital, but I have to admit my wife’s outpatient appointment at Lymington New Forest Hospital today was refreshing. We were ahead of time, but called through with a wait of no more than five minutes and seen by the doctor immediately.
All in all we were on our way again almost by the scheduled time of our appointment.
Contrast that with previous waiting times we have encountered at the much bigger city University Hospital.
While I cannot fault excellent treatment either of us have received there, and remain full of praise for the skill and expertise of its specialist departments, subsequent consultations have been a pain, invariably incurring length waiting time, and equally frustratingly going into paying for a second hour of expensive parking!
In truth neither of us relish a hospital visit, but maybe we shall be a trifle more tolerant should our next appointment be back here at Lymington!
