Out of kilter

Missed the early flight or rather I made it but without enough time to check my bag which unfortunately had a pen knife in it.  Schoolboy error.

ANA staff apologized profusely to me for my turning up 20 minutes before the plane left and put me on the next flight.  Obviously they should have anticipated my drinking beer until midnight with a colleague from out of town or had a policy that lets me take knives on planes.  What were they thinking, eh?  Result.
