Pump it up
Perhaps not a lot of folks remember these old water pumps. When I was growing up, my folks had a lake cabin in Northern Minnesota, and many of the cabins got water in the house by using one of these hand pumps - pretty simple mechanism and they worked. That was also where I was introduced to water witchers who would find the best place to sink a well using a forked willow stick. The harder the stick bent, the more water there was. I would not have believed that was possible, but I have seen it work dozens of times. I am not sure what the science is behind it, but I am a believer!
