Euphoria Crete day 7

We decided to hire bikes this morning and headed on the coast road to Chania. It was a bit scary at times as it's quite a busy road but we made it as far as Maleme which was just under 4 miles from the hotel. We stopped at a taverna and had a cool drink and a Magnum and then headed back. It was so hot that the sweat was dripping constantly off my nose and we were soaked through when we got back. After a quick shower and change we had lunch and then I enjoyed an afternoon reading 'The Man who Didn't Call' by the pool and swimming. I love holidays - time to chill and read = bliss.
