Up north
This morning I managed to get up early enough to have an early morning walk to Northumberland wildlife trust, Druridge bay. I love sitting in a hide and just watching the birds, a flock of lapwings and golden plover were present in number and I had great views of a Barn owl and a couple of Sedge warblers.
I returned to the caravan and had breakfast with the family before setting off to Lindisfarne. Weather was good but windy, the views were absolutely stunning and I'm certainly glad we went. I picked up a few bottles of Lindisfarne mead to take home, after trying a few free samples (would have been rude not to).
