The Horticultural Show

Today was the 22nd Annual Village Bowls Club Horticultural and Craft Show in the Village Institute so we duly paid our 30p to go in and inspect the entries.  These were the winners in the 'Vegetable to look like an animal' class and I did rather like the cucumber dragon, but all the entries were good.

Some of the more traditional vegetable and flower classes had some impressive entries although I'm not sure I can condone beetroot being allowed in, never mind winning a first prize.  And having seen the finalists in the 'Cheese Scone' category, I might have to enter my own next year.
