Heavenward

Clouds gathering as dusk approaches, they seem to bubble up skyward like some effervescent drink. Light from the setting sun backlighting the lower clouds renders them silhouetted against a blue sky, whilst those beyond and higher up, catching the light, are white.

I liked that the tall and slender nature of the three trees echoes that of the plumes of upward trailing clouds. I wish I could say I carefully positioned myself to create separation between the trees, but now I study the image I'm glad there are no overlapping branches.
