A New Sanctuary
I joined a meet-up group in Central Maryland that was going to a new (new to me) Audubon Sanctuary to photograph butterflies this morning. I was really glad that Wendy was able to join me so we could have a good catch-up for the 45 minute drive up and back. It was a lovely location that I had only recently heard about and was glad to have the opportunity to explore. We found plenty of Thistle and Iron Weed with enough butterflies to keep us going for a couple of hours.
We woke this morning to low 60 temperatures and started out with light jackets. Such a relief from the miserable heat of the last week. A hint of fall is finally in the air. Yay!
