At the watering hole

An early morning safari drive to look for desert adapted elephant. Worth looking up to see how they adapt to different conditions. Our field guide knew where to look and we soon came across this small herd walking to the water hole. The water hole supplies are paid for by the government as part of their protection programme.

I hope you can see the baby elephant who eventually had to stand on her hind legs to reach the water.

Off to Etosha tomorrow which is the best safari place in Namibia.
